Radhanagari is located on the banks of the Bhogawati River in Phonda Ghat - Kolhapur district. The Radhanagari dam is located amidst scenic surrounding in the backdrop of thick forest cover.  Radhanagri Dam support large variety of Flora and Fauna. The Radhanagari – Dajipur Wildlife Sanctuary is natural World Heritage Site and one of the most popular places of tourist interest for the fact that it is nestled in a hotspot of biodiversity of the Western Ghats. It is spread over an area of 351 sq. Km. Radhanagari – Dajipur Wildlife Sanctuary contains tropical evergreen forests very rich in flora and fauna. The Indian Bison ( Gava ) is the flagship species of this sanctuary  and is popularly known as the "Bison Sanctuary". The other notable fauna include the tiger, leopard, sloth bear, giant squirrel, mouse deer, barking deer, snakes and around 264 species of birds, 66 species of butterflies.
