The village Jejuri is popularly known as Khanderayachi Jejuri. It is famous for the main temple of Lord Khandoba. The Khandoba Temple is situated on a hillock called Jejurigad  and it offers a fascinating view of the surrounding rural landscape. Jejurigad has around 150 old Deep Malas (lamp post). One can enjoy these number of Deep Malas  while climbing the hill. Jejuri is one of the most famous religious places and the Khandoba temple is the family deity of many houses in Maharashtra and Karnataka. The Jejuri temple was constructed in 1608. The temple was the site of a historic treaty between Tarabai and Balaji Bajirao on 14 September 1752.
