Diveagar

Diveagar is a small village in the Raigad district. Diveagar is one of Konkan’s finest beaches and also provides a window into Konkani lifestyle and culture. Diveagar has silvery sands that stretch for nearly 5 km. The access to the beach is covered with 'Belu' plants and looks like a fence of the beach. The Roopnarayan Temple is also main place to be visited in Diveagar. The prime attraction of the temple is its beautiful statue of Vishnu that was carved in 12th century. Diveagar is a part of a cluster of three beach towns in the Raigad district – the other two being Shreevardhan and Harihareshwar. The drive between these beaches along the coastal road is abundant in flora and fauna.
